Bio

My research focuses on how land-atmosphere interactions influence weather and climate. My work has examined how convective boundary layer circulations affect the surface energy balance, how models represent wind-driven surface fluxes at kilometer scales, and how changes in land use and land cover affect precipitation extremes. I address these questions using a combination of Earth system models and convection-permitting models, radar and lidar observations, and surface flux measurements.
