Alexandra’s research is focused on developing and applying geochemical methods to extant and fossilized plant tissue to provide insight into changes in Earth’s C and N cycling through geologic time. Her developed techniques have led towards investigating the evolution of microbially mediated N fixing symbioses in plants through the use of C and N geochemistry.
